Melbourne-born-and-raised Zoe Paul is a mum of two, wife, and self-taught designer, living in between Bali and Melbourne with her family.

With five shops in Melbourne and Bali and their international online store, more than 30 staff, a constantly expanding collection, and a global presence, Zoe and her husband, Jimi, are a young couple that have successfully turned a holiday hobby into a unique design workshop.

The journey to create the label had “accidental” beginnings, after Zoe had a leather jacket made from a sketch she drew when holidaying in Bali. The jacket arrived at her hotel in a package addressed to ‘Mister Zimi’ – an accidental cross between her name and Jimi’s. The fusion of their names stuck, and within a few weeks of returning home to Melbourne, the couple had 50 orders for the jacket from friends, and friends of friends. Six months later, Zoe and Jimi moved to Bali to set up production. Fast forward five years, and today Mister Zimi is a brand prominently positioned in the international fashion landscape.

Mister Zimi’s bright colours, bold patterns and late 60s early 70s-inspired designs makes it an easily recognisable brand, not dictated by trends and with every age of women their target market.

Join us in being inspired by Zoe as she shares her very personal experience of creating a business filled with passion and purpose.
